Hi Jamar + Meligenia , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My wife and I began our coffee journey learning about coffee from associates in the Dominican Republic. We started by exporting coffee from the DR to America and selling from our website online. That did really well, so then we decided to open a small coffee shop in the Lehigh Valley of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most small business we’ve learned a lot along the way, working many hours and balancing family time in the process. Since my wife Meligenia and I are very innovative people, bringing our vision of a high vibrational coffee culture to a new community in the beginning was a little challenging. However through our faith and teamwork we persevered and successfully opened our coffee shop.

Well Marzwire Coffee is known for quality premium coffee and exceptional customer service. We take a lot of pride in having our customers leave with smiles on their faces, and enjoying the experience of indulging in our coffee shop atmosphere. We believe that we are building a safe space for people of all backgrounds to enjoy coffee and feel good about being an important part of a better future. A future where coffee doesn’t only satisfy your needs but also does some good all around the world, as we give back to communities that are in need.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
We spoke to other business owners about how they started their companies and asked them for advice with regards to lessons they may have learned along the way on their journey.
