Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Majors.
Hi Bryan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my journey through sports leadership and entrepreneurship. Growing up I learned early that preparation discipline and resilience could change the direction of your life. Basketball opened many doors for me and eventually led me to play professionally including time with the Harlem Globetrotters organization. Through every level of my journey I realized leadership and mindset were just as important as talent.
After experiencing adversity and personal loss I became passionate about helping others grow through preparation confidence and purpose. That led me to build Bryan Majors LLC where I speak to schools athletes organizations and businesses about leadership personal development and overcoming obstacles. I also founded Major Prep Apparel which started from a vision to create more than clothing. I wanted to build a brand that represented preparation performance and purpose for athletes leaders and everyday people chasing greatness.
What started as an idea has grown into a brand trusted by hundreds of teams schools and organizations nationwide. Along the way I became an author speaker mentor and entrepreneur while continuing to inspire young people to believe bigger about their future. Today my mission is to continue building impactful businesses empowering others through leadership and creating opportunities that leave a lasting legacy in the community.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs and leaders I have faced setbacks financial pressure losses self doubt and moments where things did not go as planned. One of the biggest challenges was learning how to stay consistent and believe in the vision even when there was little support or immediate results. Building a business from the ground up takes patience sacrifice and resilience especially when you are trying to create something meaningful that impacts people beyond just making money.
Personally losing my father at a young age was one of the hardest obstacles I had to overcome. That experience taught me how quickly life can change and it forced me to mature mentally and emotionally. Instead of allowing adversity to break me I used it as motivation to push harder and create a legacy that would make my family and community proud.
Another challenge has been balancing multiple roles as an entrepreneur speaker mentor and leader while continuing to grow personally. There were times where I had to learn through failure make difficult decisions and continue moving forward without guarantees. But every obstacle taught me something valuable about discipline faith leadership and preparation.
Looking back I honestly believe the struggles were necessary because they shaped the mindset character and resilience I carry today. They helped me become stronger more focused and more committed to helping others overcome their own challenges as well.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe risk is necessary for growth. Every meaningful opportunity in my life came from stepping into uncertainty and trusting my preparation, faith, and work ethic. I do not look at risk as something reckless. I look at it as believing in a vision strongly enough to pursue it, even when there are no guarantees.
One of the biggest risks I took was building Major Prep from the ground up while balancing other responsibilities and life challenges. There were moments where resources were limited, support was minimal, and the future was uncertain. But I believed deeply in the mission behind the brand and what it could become. Starting a business, investing into products, traveling for opportunities, and continuing to build during difficult seasons all required risk and sacrifice.
Another major risk was transitioning from athletics into entrepreneurship and leadership development. Sports had been a major part of my identity for years, and stepping into a completely different space required confidence and adaptability. I had to trust that my experiences, lessons, and leadership could create impact beyond the basketball court.
I have also learned that not taking risks can sometimes be the biggest risk of all. Staying comfortable may protect you from failure, but it can also prevent growth, purpose, and opportunity. Every challenge, setback, and uncertain moment taught me something valuable and helped shape the person and leader I am today.
For me, risk-taking is ultimately about preparation. I believe when you prepare consistently, stay disciplined, and remain faithful, you put yourself in position to handle whatever comes with the opportunity. Success is never guaranteed, but growth always comes from having the courage to step forward.
