Daily Inspiration: Meet Courtney Farinelli

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Farinelli.

Hi Courtney, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
H2L Studio opened in 2015 as a place that clients can have it all under 1 roof. We’ve grown in the past 11 years to offer Cycle, Barre, Pilates, Yoga, HIIT, Bootcamp, Massage/Wellness Appointments and more. H2L Stands for Healthy Holistic Living and we do out best to aid our clients in living a healthier life. We are a family owned and run business and just want to create a place that people come to us and leave feeling better than they came. We aim to be as welcoming as we can, teaching to all levels and offering a variety of styles/themes/etc. We’re gotten where we are because we have a great team of instructors and clients who truly love it here. The welcoming vibes, creative classes and diverse offerings make it easy for people to get hooked. It’s a one stop shop for fitness/wellness needs and people love that convince.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The paved road we have now and are still paving didn’t come without bumps. We survived a pandemic, when at home workouts were the latest trend we still had loyal clients knocking on our doors. Working out in person, with a good vibe is more motivating to many than in your house — and that’s what kept us here. The atmosphere and community that we have is something that is hard to articulate and duplicate. Some struggles aside from that era have been the changing trends and staying relevant. We always just adapt to the times and try to stay a step ahead.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
H2L Studio started as an idea that my in-laws had and together we’ve worked to create something special. By trade, my father-in-law owns a custom home building company, so the buildout and the space we have was designed by him. It feels functional, clean and is beautiful. People often comment about the studio and how nice it feels inside. We we were able to do that because of his special skill set. My Mother-in-Law is a photographer, and you’ll find her photos all around the studio bringing color and peace where we needed it. She is great with people and attends a lot of the classes to support the instructors. I manage the day-to-day scheduled, instructors, events, billing and marketing. I have a degree from Penn State in Public Relations and have always loved event planning and working with people. This job lets me do a little bit of everything that I love. I am certified and teach Cycle, Pilates and Barre. I think being with the clients in classes helps me be a better manager because I hear them when they have ideas/questions. I know their names and am able to connect with them so when a problem comes along they can put my face to it and ask for help.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I have always loved being around people. I am a people pleaser for sure, so I always do my best to keep everyone happy as best I can. I’m organized. I’ve always loved helping people — and running this studio lets me do that. I have people who stop me to tell me how the studio changed their life and it makes my heart so happy.
