Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Fedele.
Hi Amanda, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My love for photography started back in high school when I took photography classes and realized how much I genuinely enjoyed it; it stuck with me, but it really became something more when I was 21 and my now husband gifted me my first camera for Christmas. I remember opening it and feeling so excited; I couldn’t put it down.
When I was younger, I also did a lot of modeling, which has helped me so much in my work now; it gives me a natural understanding of posing and how to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera.
Not long after that, my first son was born, and that’s when everything shifted for me; I wanted to capture every second, all the little moments that go by so quickly. Photography became deeply personal, not just something I liked, but something I needed.
I started photographing friends and families, and it grew naturally from there. I realized I wasn’t just taking photos; I was capturing real emotion and connection. Over time, I became more intentional with my work, developing my style and building my brand into something more elevated and refined.
That’s how Sweet AF Photography evolved into what it is today; focused on creating timeless, emotional images while also giving clients a really thoughtful, seamless experience.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road; like most creative businesses, there have been a lot of learning curves along the way.
In the beginning, one of the biggest challenges was confidence; figuring out my style, trusting my eye, and putting my work out there. It’s vulnerable to build something so personal and ask people to invest in it. I also had to learn the business side of things from scratch; pricing, contracts, client experience, and marketing; it’s so much more than just taking photos.
Balancing everything was another challenge, especially becoming a mom while growing my business; learning how to manage my time, set boundaries, and still show up fully for both my family and my clients took time.
There were also moments of comparison and self-doubt, especially in such a saturated industry; but those moments pushed me to refine my work and really define what makes my brand different.
Looking back, those challenges were necessary; they helped me grow not just as a photographer, but as a business owner. They pushed me to become more intentional, more confident, and more aligned with the kind of work and experience I want to create today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a photographer and the owner of Sweet AF Photography; I specialize primarily in weddings, along with couples and families. My work focuses on capturing real moments in a way that feels natural, emotional, and elevated. It leans into an editorial style, but it’s always grounded in genuine connection; I want my images to feel like you, just refined.
I’m known for creating a really comfortable experience for my clients; I guide when needed, especially with posing, but I also leave space for real moments to happen naturally. Because of my background in modeling, I’m able to help people feel confident in front of the camera without it feeling stiff or overly posed; that balance is a big part of my work, especially on a wedding day when emotions are high and things move quickly.
What I’m most proud of is the experience I’ve built; not just the final images, but how my clients feel throughout the entire process. Weddings are such a big, emotional milestone, and I take a lot of pride in being someone people can trust to capture it in a way that feels true to them. Being named the Best Photographer in Montgomery County this year on the Montco Happening List was really special; it felt like a reflection of that work and the relationships I’ve built with my clients.
What sets me apart is that combination of emotion and refinement; my work isn’t just about documenting a day, it’s about elevating it while still keeping it honest. I focus just as much on how it feels as how it looks, and I think that’s what makes the images really last.
What’s next?
Looking ahead, I’m really focused on continuing to grow into a more elevated, luxury space; refining both my work and the overall client experience even further. I want every part of what I offer to feel intentional, from the first inquiry to the final gallery.
I’m also excited to take on more weddings that align with my vision; couples who value emotion, connection, and a more editorial, timeless style. As I grow, I’m becoming more selective with the work I take on so I can pour more into each client and create something truly meaningful.
One of the biggest things I’m looking forward to is settling into a new space; we recently got a historic mill property here in Bucks County that I’ll be using as a home and studio. It’s such a special, character-filled space, and I’m excited to incorporate it into my work by offering a more private, luxury experience for my clients.
There are also plans to expand what I offer; things like albums, prints, and more tangible ways for clients to experience their photos beyond just digital galleries. Creating something lasting and physical is really important to me.
Overall, I’m looking forward to continuing to evolve; pushing my creativity, strengthening my brand, and building something that feels both artistically fulfilling and deeply aligned with the kind of experience I want to be known for.
