Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonio García.
Hi Antonio, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Antonio. I started working in Fellinis Media in 2001. I began as a dishwasher and worked my way through every station in the kitchen, eventually becoming a sous chef.
In 2011 I started as Head Chef at Ariano, where I remained until 2025. I had always harbored a dream of opening my own restaurant—a dream that finally came true in December 2025, when we opened Taquero MX
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I arrived here in 2001 without speaking a single word of English; I believe that language is something absolutely indispensable for being able to get ahead.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am the Head chef at Taquero. My job is to create and execute the menus, as well as train the staff. I ensure that everyone executes the menu in strict accordance with the recipes!
What makes you happy?
It makes me happy to see my entire family involved in this business, and it gives me a wonderful feeling when my customers leave happy because they enjoyed the food, the service, and the atmosphere of our restaurant!
