Hi Karina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey at the age of 13, doing curls for baptisms and parties for family members. At 19 I attended beauty school, by the age of 25 I had opened my first Salon in harrisburg, PA. I was a winner for Vidal Sasson beauty changes lives shortly after which was an amazing experience. I got to travel to Chicago for week for class everything paid for. In 2023 I acquired my educators license and got accepted as a Matrix Artist. Now 16 years in beauty I have grown as a stylist and business owner, through a-lot of training and investing in my knowledge. Thanks to my passion for hair I have also been able to travel to many countries like, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia to get certified as a color Master. Im always intrigued to learn more, and new techniques to offer my clients. Originally born in New York, I have felt really appreciative of PA as it’s been the place where I have grown as a Stylist, mom and entrepreneur.
Karinas Hair studio is more than just a hair salon its a place where we transform and enhance the beauty of the modern woman through specialized services in color, offering a personalized experience that raises confidence and highlights the essence of each client with high quality standards.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth ride, first not knowing if I would make it on my own, i started with only $700 and 2 months rent
Dealing with clients that wanted everything for little to nothing
Learning the business aspect
Staying up to date on trends
And the list can go on and on but the one true thing I liked about the ups and downs is learning from it, Making my clients happy and seeing there transformation means more to me than a smooth road
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Im a hairstylist and I specialize in color, Im known for transformations, I can take a level 2-3 color to blonde in one session, while still maintaining the integrity of the hair. Im most proud of transforming confidence, its more than hair its finding a personalized color to enhance the beauty of modern women.
Through innovative and personalized techniques, I create looks that reflect the essence, style and personality of each client, providing results that increase their confidence and highlight their natural beauty
