Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Olsen.
Hi Heather, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m Heather Olsen, founder of Tru Healing Center in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. My journey began with a traumatic upbringing and a life-changing brain injury at 23 from a car accident. After years of therapy and medication with limited change, I turned to holistic healing. As I continued to heal I went to school to become an esthetician. After getting married and having my 2 kids all while still healing. My husband at the time had gotten hurt and was also out of work. We decided for me to go back to school and I decided to go to massage school to learn how to fix his shoulder injury. It was through being attuned to Reiki that gifts opened up, and drawing on my own healing journey, I felt compelled to help others heal and evolve. Over the years, I’ve seen lives transform before my eyes, reinforcing my purpose. I began in the basement of a hair salon, and seeing clients in a space in my home. I decided to open a space in January 2020, closed in March of 2020 and reopened in June of 2020 with just me and one other person. It is now 6 years later I run a full healing center with practitioners—many of whom were my clients or mentors. I love what Tru Healing Center has become. It’s a space where people come to heal, evolve, and inspire others.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My life has been one roller-coaster ride after another. I have healed myself from a tbi, I got a divorce in 2015. Worked as a single mom and built a business helping people heal from trauma soley on word of mouth referrals. My stubbornness to not give up and my drive to be the best parent and role model for my kids has definitely kept me moving forward. Ibelieve that everyone deserves to live their best life and not live in the past. The truth is it was never my intention to do what I do, but it is definitely what I was meant to do.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am extremely proud of what I created. I am personally known as 7 years of therapy in an hour. I have the ability to get to the core of a person’s trauma or where they are stuck at, explain it by intuitively tapping into theirs and everyone affecting their life’s soul autobiographies and help them understand why things happen and how they can release and grow from it. I have created a Center where like-minded people come to heal and evolve with different practitioners that offer classes, workshops, meetups and events. Whether they were my clients who had their own gifts evolve after they healed or my Massage school teacher and Reiki Master who believed in me and pushed me to believe in myself, the people who work at Tru all have very special gifts or abilities and special place in my heart.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Being with my grandparents ( who were my main role models)
Whether it was eating cheese, crackers and bread and butter pickles while watching All my Children with my grandmom or going shopping with my grandmom then coming home and doing a fashion show for my grandpop, they were my safe happy place.
