Hi Sparkle , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey began with a brush and a deep fascination for how visual details can transform a person’s outlook. I started over 23 years ago as a makeup artist, honing my craft by focusing on more than just application—I focused on the boost of confidence that comes when someone sees their best self reflected in the mirror.
Over two decades in the beauty industry taught me that aesthetic principles are universal. Whether I was working with a client in my studio or consulting on a high-end freelance project, I realized that the same balance, color theory, and composition I used on a face could be applied to a physical space. This realization led me to expand my expertise into interior design.
Today, I operate as a dual-industry expert. Through Main Line Beauty Studio, I continue to provide high-level artistry and my signature Fly Brushes, while Realistic Interior Design allows me to bring that same eye for detail into people’s homes. My mission has evolved into a unified goal: helping women cultivate aesthetics and confidence in every area of their lives. I’ve gone from working behind the scenes to building a personal brand hub that connects beauty, design, and mindful living, proving that it’s never too late to relaunch and refine your story.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest challenge has been the discipline required to self-fund and self-manage three distinct businesses—Studio, Product, and Design—without the help of outside grants or traditional accelerators.
Balancing that professional intensity with my role as a wife and a mother has been my greatest lesson in resilience. My family is the reason I strive for excellence, and my home is the space where I recharge and refine my concepts. I’m a grandmother, a business owner, a designer, and an artist. Balancing those roles requires a constant return to what matters most: authenticity. I’ve learned that when you lead with your heart and your true self, you don’t just reach a specific demographic—you reach people who value excellence and real connection.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I think what sets me apart from others is, while many people specialize in just one thing, I am known for bringing a high-end, cohesive look to both people and their homes. Whether I’m designing a vegan brush or staging a room, my goal is to create an environment that breeds confidence.
I transitioned from being an artist to becoming an innovator, launching a professional brush line and eventually expanding into interior design. My journey has been about merging these worlds—beauty, product, and space—into one cohesive lifestyle brand that helps people feel as good as their surroundings look.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Most people see me now as a creative lead in beauty and design, but they would be surprised to learn that I grew up as a total tomboy who actually hated wearing dresses. Even though I went to charm school, modeled, and even won the title of Ms. Pennsylvania, my heart was always in the ‘art’ of the look rather than just the glamour.
In fact, my original dream was to be America’s Next Top Model, but that path eventually pivoted me behind the scenes where I discovered my true calling as a Makeup Artist. That same grit helped me navigate becoming a single mother at 21, which built the resilience I needed years later to launch Fly Brushes during the pandemic. I started that company with zero experience in production and no outside funding—just a handmade formula and a vision. I’ve always been someone who figures it out as I go, proving that your starting point never defines your finish line.
