Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Vardouniotis.
Hi Renee, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey really started in the therapy room. I spent over two decades as a Speech-Language Pathologist, helping children and young adults find their voice. On the surface, it was about speech and communication. But underneath that, I began noticing something deeper, so many of the struggles weren’t just about words. They were about confidence. Self-doubt. Fear of being misunderstood.
I saw how communication challenges could make people shrink. And I also saw what happened when someone felt truly seen and heard, they grew.
That realization changed everything for me.
I started diving into personal development, mindset work, and the psychology behind how we think and communicate. I realized that helping someone pronounce a word clearly was powerful but helping them believe their voice mattered was transformational.
Over time, my work expanded beyond clinical settings into speaking, coaching, and leading workshops. I began teaching that how we think shapes how we speak and how we speak shapes the results we create in our relationships, careers, and lives.
As my vision grew, I co-founded the Rich Thinking Conference and Anthology to create spaces where leaders and entrepreneurs could explore how mindset drives success. Today, I speak, write, and build community both on stage and online all centered around one core belief: when people feel seen and heard, they rise.
What started as helping people find their voice has become a mission to help them use it with confidence and clarity in every area of life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth roads rarely lead to meaningful growth! It’s the hills, roadblocks, and. curves that strengthen us.
Along my entrepreneurial journey, the biggest struggle hasn’t been the work itself, it’s been carrying the weight of the vision before there was proof it would work.
I’ve worn every hat. Visionary, builder, strategist, marketer, problem-solver. When something moved forward, it was because I moved it forward. That level of responsibility forced me to grow quickly, often before I felt ready.
There were long seasons where I was ahead of the evidence. I could see what this could become long before the results reflected it. Holding belief during those gaps—without external validation—required deep self-trust and discipline.
I’ve had to outgrow versions of myself I once relied on. Each new level demanded more clarity, more courage, and more ownership. That meant releasing comfort, certainty, and sometimes relationships that no longer aligned with where I was going.
One of the hardest parts was leading with confidence while privately navigating doubt. I learned how to stand strong publicly while still working things out behind the scenes. That tension sharpened my decision-making and strengthened my resilience.
Balancing purpose with profitability was another real struggle. I care deeply about impact and people, and I had to learn how to value my work without guilt, understanding that sustainability is part of service.
There were moments where motivation wasn’t there, but consistency had to be. I showed up anyway. Not because it was exciting, but because commitment mattered more than how I felt that day.
I didn’t build in a vacuum. I built while life was happening—motherhood, responsibilities, emotional growth, and personal evolution all running alongside the business. That required flexibility, boundaries, and grace.
I’ve also learned what it feels like to be misunderstood before being recognized. My message evolved as I did, and clarity came through experience, not perfection.
Most of all, I learned to trust myself louder than the noise. Advice, opinions, comparison—they never stop. But discernment became one of my greatest skills. The struggle shaped my thinking. And my thinking shaped everything that followed.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Rich Thinking Conference and Anthology were created to shift the conversation around success, leadership, and mindset from surface-level motivation to intentional thinking.
At its core, Rich Thinking is about how people think before they act, lead, or build. The name and mission are inspired by the belief, echoed in timeless philosophies like Napoleon Hill’s, that thought is the starting point of all meaningful success. We focus on helping people recognize the thinking patterns that shape their confidence, decisions, communication, and ultimately their outcomes.
What we do is create platforms, through live experiences and published work, where leaders, entrepreneurs, parents, creatives, and high performers come together to expand how they think. The Rich Thinking Conference is a full-day immersive experience centered on mindset, leadership, resilience, performance, and legacy. The Rich Thinking Anthology brings together a curated group of thought leaders and change-makers to share the thinking behind their growth, not just the highlight reel.
What sets Rich Thinking apart is depth and intention. This isn’t about hype, quick wins, or motivational quotes. It’s about meaningful conversations, real experiences, and practical insight that people can actually apply. We intentionally blend education with connection, allowing attendees and readers to walk away not just inspired, but clearer and more confident in how they think and lead.
I’m most proud of the integrity of the brand. Every speaker, author, and collaboration is chosen with purpose. We prioritize alignment over volume and quality over noise. Rich Thinking is designed to feel expansive, intelligent, and grounded…professional, but human.
What I want people to know is that Rich Thinking isn’t just a conference or a book, it’s a philosophy. It’s an invitation to take responsibility for your thinking, your growth, and the legacy you’re building. Everything we offer is designed to help people think richer, lead stronger, and live more intentionally.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I grew up in a neighborhood full of kids, and it truly felt like we had a built-in community. Summers were spent outside from morning until the streetlights came on, playing “Jailbreak” and any other game that had us running all over the neighborhood. I loved the freedom, the laughter, and always having friends just a few doors away.
What makes it even more special is that many of us are still close today. Now our kids know each other and some even go to school together — which feels like such a full-circle moment.
